Geneva, 2 April 2019 – The RBM Partnership to End Malaria today announced the eleven journalists selected to participate in its inaugural media fellowship.  

Geneva, 20 March 2019 – The RBM Partnership to End Malaria today announced the appointment of Dr Abdourahmane Diallo, MD, MPH as the Partnership’s next CEO. Dr Diallo, currently Minister and Health Advisor to the President of Guinea, brings to the role extensive leadership experience and expertise in national and international public health systems. He will take office on 8 April 2019 and will attend the official celebration of World Malaria Day in Paris on 25 April 2019 as his first engagement on behalf of the Partnership.

Geneva – Paris, 25 February 2019 Today the RBM Partnership to End Malaria announced that Paris, France, will be the official host city of World Malaria Day 2019 on 25th April. In partnership with the city of Paris and the French Government, a series of events will be organised across the city centre, recognising the importance of Francophone contributions to the fight against malaria, and the need to step up the fight to accelerate progress against the preventable and treatable disease.

Geneva and New Delhi, 8 February 2019--The RBM Partnership to End Malaria welcomes the announcement from Luxembourg and Ireland made at the Preparatory Meeting of the Global Fund Sixth Replenishment in New Delhi today to step up the fight and secure at least US$14 billion to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.

The RBM Partnership to End Malaria today announced leadership arrangements for the transition of the RBM CEO announced in September. Professor Maha Taysir Barakat, a Partnership Board Member and Chair Elect since November 2018, will serve as Executive Chair Elect as of January 2019, when Dr Kesetebirhan Admasu (Dr Kesete) concludes his term as RBM CEO to undertake a new role to be announced in January. Dr Melanie Renshaw will join the Partnership in a newly created interim role as Chief Programme Officer.
