World Mosquito Day 2020

This World Mosquito Day we call on everyone to play their part in the fight to end malaria and ensure no one dies from a mosquito bite.

  • Your fever could be malaria – prompt treatment is essential to essential to prevent a mild case of malaria from progressing to severe illness and death.

  • Let’s see the bigger picture – by fighting COVID-19 and malaria together, we can save more lives and make a safer world for all.

  • We must close the $2 billion annual gap in malaria funding to develop transformative tools and reach the most vulnerable people with the life-saving malaria interventions they need.

  • Stay ahead of the wily mosquito: we need new tools to respond to the rapidly evolving parasite and stave off antimalarial and insecticide resistance.

We encourage all partners and communities around the world to mark the day by joining our social media campaign and sharing our content online.
We have developed a range of campaign materials for you to download and disseminate on your platforms.
These include calls to action, social media graphics and social posts to help you promote the World Mosquito campaign and raise awareness about the deadly mosquito.
