Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and held annually on 5 June since 1973, World Environment Day is the largest global platform for environmental public outreach and is celebrated by millions of people across the world. In 2024, it is hosted by Saudi Arabia.
Geneva, Switzerland – 26 May 2024 – On the sidelines of the 77th World Health Assembly, African Ministers of Health have committed to mobilise resources to scale up malaria services and prevent malaria sickness and death across the continent.
This executive roundtable is convened to discuss the progress on WHO Global Malaria Program´s guiding principles to prioritize malaria interventions in resource constrained settings and accelerate scenario planning for adoption of future innovation to achieve maximum impact. Furthermore, the aim of this discussion is to align on the right mix of tools and interventions required all the country level for effective programming both now and in the future
