Twenty-nineth SME WG Annual Meeting

The 29th SME WG Annual Meeting that was held from 12 to 14 September 2018, in Dar Salaam, Tanzania, brought together 46 in-person SME WG participants from 10countries. 

Meeting Objectives

1. Discuss progress and challenges towards surveillance as a key intervention

2. Discuss data visualization and use for action

3. Address operationalization of surveillance guidelines

4. Examine developments in measuring malaria from survey data

5. Address RBM and MERG business issues

RBM Partnership Annual Report 2022

In 2022, the RBM Partnership dedicated substantial effort and resources to address significant challenges hampering the success of malaria programmes. Focus areas included advocacy and resource mobilisation, technical support to malaria affected countries for strategy development and deployment of innovative malaria interventions and approaches. 

Thirtieth SME WG Annual Meeting

The 30th SME WG Annual Meeting that was held from 5 to 7 June 2019, in Accra, Ghanaa, brought together 30 in-person SME WG participants from 12 countries. 

 

Meeting Objectives

1. Discuss malaria surveillance, monitoring, an evaluation (SME) progress and challenges in moderate and high-burden countries

2. Define measurement needs to monitor change in quality of malaria interventions

3. Share experiences, best practices, and lessons learned on using strategic information to improved quality of malaria programming

Thirty-first SME WG Annual Meeting

The RBM Partnership Surveillance, Monitoring, and Evaluation Group (SME WG) organized its 32nd SME WG meeting virtually from 23 to 25 September 2020.  More than 95 online participants and speakers from various countries had the opportunity to attend through Zoom

 

Meeting Objectives

1. Review COVID-19 country experience in using routine data for detecting and addressing potential disruption of malaria service

2. Discuss challenges and emerging issues related to routine HIS and surveillance data

Thirty-third SME WG Annual Meeting

The 33rd SME WG Annual Meeting that was held from 17 to 20 May 2022, in Kigali, Rwuanda, brought together 59 in-person SME WG participants from 20 countries. Moreover, online participants and speakers from various countries had the opportunity to attend through Zoom.

The four-day meeting, which started with a study tour on the first day, had an overarching benefit of enlightening participants of how malaria control efforts are being coordinated in Kigali, Rwanda
