RBM Partnership welcomes nomination of Dr Faustine Engelbert NGudulile of Tanzania as next director for WHO African Region.

2 September, 2024 - The RBM Partnership to End Malaria welcomed the nomination of Dr Faustine Engelbert Ndugulile as the next Regional Director for the World Health Organization (WHO) African Region and congratulated him upon being the next to take on this important mantle. This nomination follows a decisive vote by African Member States announced during the Seventy-fourth session of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa.

RBM Partnership calls for increased funding to end Malaria inequality

29 August , 2024. BRAZZAVILLE – Malaria is keeping African families poor while straining health systems and making existing vulnerabilities such as displacement and gender inequality worse, the RBM Partnership to End Malaria has warned. RBM is a United Nations-hosted entity, that brings together over 500 partners to work towards malaria elimination.

Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly

The Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly is being held in Geneva, Switzerland, on 27 May – 1 June 2024. The theme of this year’s Health Assembly is: All for Health, Health for All.

During the Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly, a series of strategic roundtables will be held. During these sessions, WHA delegates, partner agencies, representatives of civil society and WHO experts will discuss current and future priorities for public health issues of global importance.
