On December 7–8, 2020, Harvard University will partner with National Institute for Parasitic Diseases (NIPD), Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organization to convene a special scientific symposium titled, “From 30 Million to Zero Malaria Cases in China: Lessons Learned for Malaria-Eliminating Countries in Africa.”

Participants will gain insights on China’s successful integration of sophisticated genetic technologies with ongoing malaria surveillance efforts for improved malaria policy decision-making for eradication and also gain insights as experts discuss the progress and challenges of malaria elimination in middle- to high-burden countries.
