RBM Partnership Board announces search for next CEO

Geneva, Switzerland, 3 September 2018 - The RBM Partnership to End Malaria Board today announced that the Partnership CEO, Dr Kesetebirhan Admasu, intends to leave his position to take up a key role that will be announced in due course. Dr Kesete will stay with the Partnership until at least the end of the year. The RBM Board will immediately launch a search for the next Partnership CEO. 

“The RBM Board and Partners join me in thanking Dr Kesete for his outstanding leadership in the years he’s served as RBM Partnership CEO,” said Dr Winnie Mpanju-Shumbusho, Chair of the Board of the RBM Partnership to End Malaria. “We are deeply grateful to Dr Kesete for his leadership as the first CEO of the revitalised RBM Partnership. We will continue to rely on Dr Kesete’s insights in the months ahead, as we continue to pursue our ambitious goals and seek an equally talented CEO to take the Partnership forward in 2019.”

About the RBM Partnership to End Malaria

The RBM Partnership to End Malaria is the largest global platform for coordinated action against malaria. Originally established as Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Partnership in 1998, it mobilises for action and resources and forges consensus among partners. The Partnership is comprised of more than 500 partners, including malaria endemic countries, their bilateral and multilateral development partners, the private sector, nongovernmental and community-based organisations, foundations, and research and academic institutions.
