The 1st SME WG Annual Meeting that was held from 8 to 9 May 2003, in Arlington, VA, brought together 23 in-person SME WG participants.
Meeting Objectives:
- To review and finalize the terms of reference (TOR), membership and working procedures for the reference group
- To identify priority issues to be addressed by the MERG within 2003
- To develop a programme of work for the next 12 months and identify any immediate support needs
- To constitute task forces for specific issues, as needed, and identify their TORs and membership
The objectives were addressed during presentations and group discussion during the two-day meeting
