Implementing Partners: Surveillance Projects Dashboard

Background:

Establishing systematic tracking mechanism was one of the main components and very first actions of the SP&DQ Committee. To be able to achieve this target, there was a need to realize a landscape mapping to identify who is doing what and develop an operational surveillance framework to track current surveillance efforts.

• SME WG SP&DQ Committee built Implementing Partners questionnaire via Kobo Toolbox to be able to map out surveillance and/or data quality related efforts globally.

This survey is prepared by the RBM Surveillance, Monitoring and Evaluation Reference Group (SME WG)'s Surveillance Practice and Data Quality (SP&DQ) Committee in collaboration with the APMEN Surveillance and Response Working Group.The Committee is established to improve the visibility of surveillance and data quality improvement initiatives and to streamline global coordination of surveillance-related efforts. As part of these efforts, the Committee aims to establish a tracking mechanism for implementing partners' initiatives/projects and NMCPs' surveillance operations framework.

Information from initiatives/projects implemented by partners are collected through this survey.

The findings are available through the RBM SMERG website (Global Malaria Dashboard (endmalaria.org)) allowing donors, partners and national programmes to learn about existing surveillance and data quality projects, lessons learnt and best practices.
