Join us to protect more expectant mothers and their babies from malaria
Each year, over 11 million pregnant women in Africa are infected with malaria, resulting in approximately 10,000 maternal deaths and a fifth of all stillbirths in sub-Saharan Africa. However, just three doses of Intermittent Preventive Treatment in pregnancy – or IPTp-SP - can protect pregnant women and their unborn children from these devasting consequences. The RBM Partnership’s Malaria in Pregnancy Working Group invites partners and communities around the world to sign our open letter, calling on decisionmakers to Speed Up Scale Up of IPTp coverage ahead of the African Union Summit in 2023 and increase their efforts to protect more pregnant women from malaria.
