How to get involved this World Malaria Day

The RBM Partnership to End Malaria will unite this World Malaria Day under the theme Advance Equity. Build Resilience. End Malaria. to underline the unique opportunity we have this year to drive much needed political and funding commitments to end malaria ahead of the Global Fund’s Seventh Replenishment.

We encourage all partners and communities around the world to take action on 25 April, whether by holding your own event or sharing content on social media. To support you, we have developed a range of campaign materials for you to download and disseminate on your platforms.

Partners can use these calls to action, social media graphics and posts to raise awareness of this preventable and treatable disease and advocate for sustained political commitment and continued investment for malaria control and elimination.

Attend our innovation roundtable

On 25 April at 15:00 CET, The Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), World Health Organization (WHO), the Global Fund and the RBM Partnership will jointly hold an innovation roundtable. The event will bring together a range of experts and civil society to discuss how innovation saves lives from malaria.

Pregnant women are particularly vulnerable to malaria infection, resulting in 10,000 maternal deaths a year. The latest World Malaria Report showed that preventative treatment for malaria (IPTp) coverage fell from 34% to 32%. Leaders must increase their efforts to protect women and their babies from malaria by increasing IPTp coverage!
