West and Central Africa Sub Regional Coordination Officer

Collins is the Sub Regional Coordination Officer, West and Central Africa for RBM Partnership to End Malaria Network and will be based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Dr. Collins graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Marseille, France. He is a Public Health Specialist and joined us from the International Rescue Committee (IRC) where he was Regional Coordinator for the PRO Sahel Program covering Burkina Faso, Mali & Niger with IRC Regional Office in Dakar, including NRC & DRC as consortium partners. He was able to increase the consortium portfolio from $ 8.1 million US to $36 million US with the BHA-USAID funds.

Prior to working with the IRC, he served Plan International in different positions including Program Support Manager in Liberia during the Ebola Response, Head of Programs in Cameroon, Regional Program Manager in Kenya and Deputy Country Director in Sudan and Mali. During his assignments he was instrumental in ensuring that the organization is recognized as a highly performing recipient of The Global Fund To End Malaria, HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis grants.

The incumbent started his career in Orleans Regional Hospital in France, Department of Infectious Diseases and published a few papers on malaria and HIV/AIDS before joining the NGO sector. His strengths include quality project planning and delivery, proposal development & resource mobilization.

Beyond public health issues, Collins likes sports, particularly football and he is also passionate about girl child protection
