Head of Programs

Barbara is the Head of Programs for the RBM Partnership to End Malaria. Barbara brings over 20 years of extensive experience in global health programme management and strategic leadership. She joins the RBM Partnership from the United Nations, where she held several senior leadership positions, driving impactful health initiatives and forging strategic alliances to combat public health challenges.

Throughout her career, Barbara has demonstrated a strong commitment to innovation and technology in health. She has pioneered multi-partner initiatives under the leadership of national governments, focusing on data, artificial intelligence, and local digital health solutions to enhance healthcare delivery in Western and Central Africa and the Caribbean. Her recent roles involved overseeing complex grant portfolios exceeding $55 million, managing partnerships with key stakeholders, and leading community-centered initiatives focused on youth and women empowerment, the humanitarian-development nexus, climate action, and sustainable financing.

Barbara holds a Doctor of Business Administration focused on open business models for digital health innovation in Africa and a master’s in international relations. She is married with two children and speaks French, English, Haitian Creole, German, and Spanish.
