Global Fund as a catalyst for regional malaria elimination: Applying lessons learned to the Sahel

The RBM Partnership to End Malaria welcomes you to attend an official side event at the Global Fund Replenishment Conference in Lyon, France. The event will highlight how regional malaria elimination initiatives play an important role in helping countries with shared borders move toward elimination. The Global Fund has galvanized these initiatives through funding through country and regional grants in Meso-America, Southern Africa and the Mekong sub-region. The newest of these initiatives, the Sahel Malaria Elimination Initiative (SaME) was launched in 2018 by the Ministers of Health of eight countries to accelerate the elimination of malaria in the Sahel region.
