G20 Leaders’Summit

The 20th Heads of State and Government Summit of the Group of 20 (G20) will take place in November 2025 in South Africa.

The Leaders’ Summit is the climax of the G20 process and the work carried out over the year through Ministerial Meetings, Working Groups, and Engagement Groups. The G20 adopts a Leaders’ Declaration at the conclusion of the Summit that states Leaders’ commitment towards the priorities discussed and agreed upon during the Ministerial and Working Group Meetings.

South Africa holds the G20 Presidency from 1 December 2024 to 30 November 2025. South Africa will focus its presidency on the theme, ‘Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability,’ with an emphasis on building partnerships across all sectors of society to realize the transformative process of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the SDGs and ensuring that no one is left behind.
