The Applied Malaria Modeling Network (AMMnet) is pleased to announce the upcoming AMMnet Annual Meeting 2025. This year AMMnet is partnering with the RBM Partnership to End Malaria’s Surveillance, Monitoring and Evaluation Working Group (RBM SME WG) and holding consecutive meetings.
Date: June 25 – 27, 2025
Place: Senegal
The meeting will gather professionals and experts from the malaria analytics field to share insights, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration under this year’s theme, From Data to Decisions for Policy and Practice.
Abstract: submit abstracts related to the theme, including any topic related to practical applications of data, analytics, and/or modeling for malaria. If submitting an abstract for an oral presentation, you should plan for a 10-15 minute presentation.
Training: submit your application to organize and implement a training session related to one of the topics below.
Technical training topics:
- Basics: Introduction to R and data visualization
- Intermediate statistics: Statistical or geospatial analysis in R
- Intermediate mathematical modeling: Fitting mathematical models to epidemiological data
- For partners and policymakers: Best practices for use of models in decision-making
- General interest: AI in modeling and analytics for public health
- General interest: Cost analysis and basics of health economics
