The 2025 conference will be held from the 29 - 31 July 2025 at the Future Africa Campus, University of Pretoria. This initiative of the MRG creates a platform for experienced and emerging scientists to showcase their work as well as the opportunity to network with the wider malaria community in the region.

With the goal of malaria elimination now being moved to 2030 it has become apparent that many southern African countries are experiencing challenges in attaining their goal. Cross border transmission, lack of resources and insecticide resistance are only a few of the difficulties being experienced by malaria control programmes.
